Tasked with restructuring of Title VI compliance throughout Metro 

  • Produced report on Title VI deficiencies throughout Metro  (Final Report)

  • Secured funding for first dedicated Metro Title VI compliance officer, housed under Metro Human Relations Commission (MHRC)

  • Secured funding for Spanish language closed-captioning system in Metro chambers

  • Secured funding for dedicated Spanish language television channel on Metro Nashville Network, to simulcast all meetings broadcast on the network in Spanish

  • Mill Creek Cleanup

    • Got company responsible for creek debris to accept responsibility for debris cleanup for 8 miles of Mill Creek

  • Sidewalks (working with NDOT) (completed/in progress/to come)

    • Hartford Avenue - completed

    • Norris Ave from Armory Dr to Foster Creighton Dr - completed; now in ADA compliance

    • Pavilion Blvd from Plus Park to Murfreesboro Pike

    • Plus Park Blvd from 293 Plus Park to Murfreesboro Pike

    • Gaps in the existing sidewalk on Glengarry Dr from Murfreesboro Pike to Winthorne Drive 

    • Gaps in the sidewalk on E. Thompson Lane from Lawndale Dr to Murfreesboro Pike - beginning December 2023

    • Gaps on Murfreesboro Pike from Crutchfield Ave to Spence Lane - beginning December 2023

    • Foster Ave from Thompson Lane to Whitsett Rd to provide connectivity to transit, Coleman Park, the library, and St. Edwards School  (in progress)

    • A new sidewalk on Murfreesboro Pike, from Bowwood Court to Kermit - beginning January 2024 

  • Bike lanes (in progress)

    • E. Thompson Lane from Thompson Lane to Murfreesboro Pike

    • Thompson Lane from I-65 to Nolensville Pike

    • Sidco Drive from Harding Place to Thompson Lane

  • Traffic calming - 9 projects approved and funded since 2019; installations include    

    • Collier Avenue; Harlin Drive; Foothill Drive; Southlake Drive; Peachtree Street; Lutie Street; Whitsett Road; Radnor Street; Curry Road; Glengarry Drive; Neese Drive; Wingate

  • District Schools

    • Partnering

      • 850 hygiene bags distributed, with extras for a hygiene pantry

      • 300 hat and glove sets

      • Parade jerseys for student council members 

  • Trees (with Root Nashville)

    • 267 new trees  planted in Glencliff, Woodbine and Glencliff Estates

    • 173 to come to Glengarry, The Church at Woodbine and the Pepsi Bottling plant â€‹
  • Community Garden (with Cosecha Community Development) in progress

    • Building on land next to the Woodbine Clinic

  • Blood drives (working with Thompson Lane Library)

    • 3 drives to date

    • 67 pints of blood donated
